Job Summary
Mid-level position that works with minimal direction and supervision to perform general and/or preventative maintenance and repairs to buildings, facilities, and equipment. Occasionally performs skilled work independently or with other skilled trades workers.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repair
Assists trades workers, contractors, and Building Maintenance Repairer III in the skilled maintenance trades (including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, masonry, welding) by performing moderately complex duties of equal or lesser skill to a high level of workmanship quality as specified by manager, working foreman, or department practices.
Provides instruction and supervision to Building Maintenance Repairer I.
Assesses materials and tools required for work to be performed efficiently and cost-effectively.
