40hr Days, 7A to 3:30P, M-F, with rotating call (does not have to come to campus but answers the phone when on-call).
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot critical care related instrumentation in critical care or surgical areas while in use. Diagnose the source of operational failure, if any, of patient-related equipment. Determine if the operation of the device is correct and provide recommendations for improved use.
Conduct complete electrical safety testing and inspections on all equipment under the jurisdiction of the department of Clinical Engineering and the department of Health and Hospitals.
Provide required periodic calibration of equipment to ensure proper operating function.
Conduct complete performance assurance testing. Perform complete performance maintenance procedures as required following protocols.
