Position Summary
The University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure, renewable-contract instructor position to be shared between the Department of American Culture and Society, the Department of Anthropology, and the Blount Scholars Program, a living learning community conferring a minor in Liberal Arts. The appointment is non-tenure-earning and is a one-year term with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctorate in anthropology, concentrating in sociocultural anthropology, experience teaching courses in sociology and anthropology, and an active research agenda.
