The primary function of this role is to support the Clinical Delivery Group (CDG) in delivering the audit requirements and targets outlined in the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP), National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines and other national directives including the Specialised Service Quality Dashboard SSQD. A key responsibility is to help secure enhanced Best Practice Tariffs (BPT). To achieve this, the post‑holder will be responsible for delivering national Burns and Plastics audits in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all data collected is accurate, validated and reported appropriately. Clinical audit is an educational activity designed to improve the quality of clinical care. Every healthcare professional is expected to participate in the process.
