POSITION SUMMARY Provides athletic training services on an ongoing basis in an outpatient ambulatory rehabilitation practice and outreach. The individual in this position performs a wide variety of duties requiring specific knowledge of the clinic policy and procedures and meet the clinic’s professional, clinical, technical, communication and documentation requirements. Makes decisions based on established guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESPatient Care: Assists physical therapists with exercise programs and patient treatments and performs rehabilitative modalities under physical therapist supervision. Develops strength training and/or conditioning programs for athletes/patients. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
