Job Duties/Learning Objectives:
Assist with ingestion, processing, and analysis of weather and forecast datasets, including use of NOAA products (, radar, precipitation forecasts, and station data) and numerical weather model outputs such as WRF, in support of real-time forecasting and decision-support systems. Participate in engineering studies and analyses related to hydrology, hydraulics, numerical modeling, forecasting, and risk analysis, including application of industry-standard hydraulic and hydrologic modeling tools flood and watershed analysis. Assist with the deployment and operation of machine learning and analytical pipelines for real-time streamflow, reservoir storage, and flood forecasting. Support and maintain software applications, databases, and systems associated with telemetry data, sensor networks, and alert notifications.
