Position Summary

The Associate Dean for Research (ADR), who also serves as the Director of the , oversees the development of the school’s research agenda and protocols consistent with UB’s guidelines, and providing leadership in articulating and carrying out the research mission of the .

Essential Duties:

The ADR provides leadership in the development and implementation of the school’s research strategic plan developed in collaboration with the school’s various constituencies

Serves as SSW research liaison with university administration

Develops the SSW’s research infrastructure

Develops and promotes policies and procedures that support research

Serves as a member of the SSW Administrative Team

Chairs the Research Advisory Committee (RAC)

Implements faculty professional development opportunities
