About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant to support ophthalmic care under the supervision of an Ophthalmic Nurse. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a smooth clinic experience by delivering high‑quality patient care and assisting physicians in providing optimal medical services.

Responsibilities

Clinical Support

• Meets the patient’s and doctor’s needs during the clinical exam, including preparing the patient in the diagnostic room, instilling eye drops, and ensuring diagnostic tests are performed and results endorsed.
• Prepares prescriptions as necessary.
• Measures intraocular pressure (IOPs) using Tonopen or iCare.
• Operates cataract screening equipment such as Specular Microscopy, IOL Master, and Contact Biometry.
• Performs vital signs assessments as ordered by the doctor, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate.
