Support staff management: train and guide employees to perform all grower‑section tasks, including treating pigs, loading and offloading pigs, and accurate record‑keeping.
Control and record medication use and assist with monthly medication and stock reconciliations.
Conduct daily checks: observe pigs, identify and report sick animals, clean feeding troughs and ensure creep feed is available.
Oversee transportation of grower pigs and ensure drivers comply with all health and safety rules.
Complete checklists for buildings, ventilation and temperature prior to pig receival; ensure pens are hygienically clean with fresh water.
Promote and uphold high animal‑welfare standards in line with the five freedoms.
Assist with basic maintenance on site and report faults, and support general farm work as needed.
