Position Information:

Provides in house legal counsel in the WakeMed Office of Legal Affairs and reports to the Vice President and Chief Legal Officer CLO or other attorney in the WakeMed Office of Legal Affairs. Provides legal services to WakeMed and its affiliates and subsidiaries. The services provided will cover a comprehensive array of legal issues facing the health system and health care providers such as healthcare contracting and transactions patient care managed care/third party reimbursement EMTALA HIPAA and health care regulatory compliance. Prepares reviews and negotiates contracts with vendors and commercial partners in a variety of areas such as supply chain support services purchase clinical research academic affiliation agreements and other routine transactions.
