The assistant coach provides support to the head coach in all aspects of the track and field program. Coach and mentor student-athletes in support of their growth as a student-athlete and member of the Middlebury College community.


This is a full-time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $41,409 - $46,585. This is a term position with an anticipated term length of August 31, 2026 to June 13, 2027.


Core Responsibilities:

+ Coach the technical and tactical aspects of the sport in practices and competitions, with a focus on a specific discipline (e.g. Throws, Jumps, Sprints, Hurdles)

+ Recruit prospective student-athletes within the rules and regulations of Middlebury, NESCAC, and the NCAA.

+ Assist the head coach in preparing for daily practice including but not limited to developing daily practice plans.
