As an Assistant Accounts Officer you will handle accounting records and the general ledger of SMC and assigned vessels according to accounting rules, standards, owner requirements, and inform relevant parties regarding vessel financial transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Prompt settlement of all accounts/payments related to vessels (e.g., crew payroll), supporting smooth vessel operations.
- Process all accounting entries and provide monthly accounting reconciliation of specific accounts to give management the required information.
- Assist in internal and external audits by gathering and providing required information and data as directed by supervisor, contributing to proper and accurate audits and enhancing company credibility and corporate image.
