The primary location of this position is on-site in Cullowhee, NC. This position is designated as being exempt from the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (EHRA).

The Area Coordinator is a full-time, live-in professional position requiring residence in an assigned on-campus apartment. As a convenience to the employer, the position is provided a meal plan to support relationship development with students through meals and meetings in campus dining facilities.

The Area Coordinator serves as the primary live-in professional staff member responsible for the overall management and leadership of a residential area housing 700 to 1,500 residents. The position directs comprehensive operations spanning staff supervision and development, residential education, community development, crisis management, building administration, student conduct, and hall council advising.
