The T-34 Aircraft Mechanic-1 performs the maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing functions on assigned T-34 aircraft within an aircraft maintenance and operations environment in accordance with applicable instructions.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform shop and flight line maintenance tasks ensuring aircraft structural integrity.Utilize hand tools, special tools, fixtures, and adhesives applicable to return aircraft to operational condition.Inspect, evaluate, and repair aircraft flight surfaces, wiring, structure, fuel tanks, canopies as well as wheel and tire assemblies.Operate all associated ground support equipment.Perform aircraft and equipment corrosion inspections.Remove, treat for corrosion, and apply protective coatings on aircraft and subcomponents.Use maintenance drawings and blueprints to accomplish repairs on assigned equipment.
