Job Duties:

Load and unload crops or containers of materials manually or by using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Apply fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungi, weeds, and crop diseases using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery in operation to detect equipment malfunctions, and manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust machinery mechanisms.

Operate or tend agricultural production equipment, including tractors, self-propelled combines, irrigation equipment, and towed machinery such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, spray, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Maintain farm machi...
