Position Summary

Adjunct faculty at Stevenson University will engage in teaching activities in accordance with the University’s faculty workload policies. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching courses in English. Adjunct Faculty in the English Department teach a variety of courses, depending upon their education and experience, such as College Writing I, College Writing II, and Introduction to Creative Writing. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for ensuring that students meet all learning outcomes. Education/Experience Master’s degree in English, a strong commitment to quality teaching, and one year college level teaching experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the teaching of composition and writing.

Demonstrated ability to support the success of foundational learners in composition desirable.

Ability to instruct students of varying preparation and abilities.
