The Economics Department at Whittier College seeks to hire 1-3 adjunct faculty for Fall 2026.

Prospective candidates may apply to teach ECON 201 Principles of Microeconomics (3 credits) and/or ECON 386 Growth & Development (3 credits) starting August 2026.

Salary Range: $2,250/credit

Reports to: Department Chair

Location/Department: Whittier College / Academic Affairs

Qualifications

ECON 201: Instructors with a minimum of ABD status or earned PhD, with specialization in Microeconomics and teaching (or TA) experience with Introductory Microeconomics are preferred.

ECON 386: Instructors with a minimum of ABD status or earned PhD, with specialization in Development Economics and teaching (or TA) experience with Development Economics are preferred.
