In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyze and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives. The 10-week Risk Management Summer Analyst Program is an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley's Risk Management Division, taking on the responsibilities and functions of an Analyst. Summer Analysts will be assigned to the team and work on a range of projects over the program. Internship Programs The Summer Analyst program includes a Firmwide orientation to Morgan Stanleys businesses and division specific training. Your training will continue throughout the summer with structured learning sessions run by senior executives. Similarly, you will have many opportunities to integrate with peers and senior colleagues through a series of networking, social, and charity events. Role and Responsibilities As a Summer Analyst, you will be placed into either the Central Functions or Market Risk Management team. Team placement will be determined based on a mutual fit, taking into consideration your interest and skill set. Central Functions Support Asia Central Function primarily in stress testing & capital areas, which may include, but is not limited to below: Liaising with regional risk and global teams on reviewing the Firms stress testing scenarios and ensuring adherence to the regional governance process Support regional stress testing projects including stress gap analysis, stress testing enhancements, capital planning and policy updates Driving risk capital delivery and governance including FRTB implementation in the region Market Risk Management Responsibilities vary depending on your role, but may include the following: Risk Monitoring: Assist in day-to-day risk management of our risk exposures by providing independent analysis of market dynamics and business activities then establishing processes to monitor these risks Model Development: Participate in developing and enhancing tools and methodologies to quantify risks for business as usual and stress testing purposes Contribute to key projects to establish and maintain a strong infrastructure supporting risk management activities, including reporting on risk exposures and metrics, data management and project management Assist in monitoring, managing and reporting exposures at multiple levels across businesses and risks Qualifications and Skills You are a high-caliber student in your penultimate year of study, majoring in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Engineering or other business-related majors You will graduate between October 2027 and July 2028 You have a strong interest in risk management You are fluent in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills You have strong quantitative orientation and understanding of the key concepts in financial derivatives and pricing You are intellectually curious and enjoy learning You demonstrate leadership, interpersonal skills, and are a team player You pay close attention to detail, have analytical and problem-solving skills, and are able to understand and evaluate complex information quickly You have the ability to manage dynamic priorities You are an early AI adopter/enthusiast to solve problems in new ways Internship Period Summer Analyst Program: 10 weeks between June and August 2027 Application Process and Deadline Application process may vary by location but typically follows: CV + On-Demand Video Assessment Zoom Interview Final Interview Application deadline 1: Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 23:55 SGT Application deadline 2: Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 23:55 SGT We recruit on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as you are ready.
