The successful candidate
will have the following qualifications: completion of a Bachelor of Education; certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification Branch; academic training, qualifications and recent successful experience teaching secondary Outdoor Education; strong classroom management skills; the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies; the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching and learning; and a desire to work in a flexible alternative learning environment; and ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
