The Account Manager is responsible for penetrating and driving sales ofproprietary and patented advanced wound care products to the hospital/clinic, long-term care and home health marketplace and across the continuum along with providing knowledge and expertise to help clinicians relieve patients from the burden of their wounds. Roles & Responsibilities Developing and managing product sales in the assigned territory, directly and independently selling, supporting and ensuring sales growth in existing and new accounts. Achieves sales goals by penetrating into major hospitals, hospital systems, long term care, long term care chains and home health by promoting wound care products Responsible for territory and account planning with a strong emphasis on prioritizing and optimizing time by channel to target high potential accounts. Must have a broad clinical understanding and ability to master knowledge of products Develops working relationships with local medical/surgical distribution partners. Builds strong, sustainable relationships with key professional decision makers and opinion leaders, including applicable clinical call points and key financial decision makers in the hospital system and local community health teams they call on. Effectively in-services and educates on the best use of products and demonstrates the efficacy and clinical effectiveness Requirements Bachelors degree is required, preferably with a health science or marketing/business major 2-3 sales experience with a preference for selling experience in wound care or related field Understands the process of selling into hospitals/hospital networks, and provincial authorities Demonstrated consultative selling, contract negotiation and account development skills. Must have the ability to in-service clinicians and account executives (train and educate) Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) Possesses strong personal initiative with ability to work autonomously Planning ability and organization skills Strong goal orientation and the personal drive to achieve Effective negotiation and listening skills. Competent in Microsoft Office programs and customer relationship manager tools Ability to develop and recommend strategy in a competitive environment Some overnight travel will be required Benefits Base salary commensurate with individual experience plus commission/bonus incentive plan.
