The GracePointe Community Church Worship Team exists to lead our congregation to worship and experience God through music, song, prayer, and the creative arts during our worship gatherings.

GracePointe Community Church is looking for a Worship Ministry Leader who has demonstrated musical talent and experience in working with small groups of volunteers. The ideal candidate will be a committed follower of Jesus with some worship ministry training or equivalent experience. Experience working with children in teens is a plus and a vulnerable sector background check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and build 2 Worship teams of 2-3 people each.

• Coordinate and schedule worship teams for Sunday gatherings

• Schedule worship teams 2 months ahead.

• Encourage and care for the worship leaders and their teams

• Plan and coordinate special worship sets with the pastor during Christmas and Easter

• Plan and coordinate special Children’s Ministry song presentations for Sunday worship.

• Plan and coordinate annual worship ministry training for the team

• Manage worship equipment and plan purchases for the worship ministry

• Coordinate CCLI licensing and administration of SongSelect with worship leaders

Weekly Responsibilities

• Lead congregation in worship on Sundays (2-3 times a month)

• Select songs for the worship set in consultation with the pastor

  • Add Song Selection to Proclaim (title and CCLI #)

  • Coordinate with team to practice worship set (1.5 hour)

  • Arrive at worship location with worship team an hour before start time to set up worship equipment

  • Participate in pre-service prayer

  • Help take-down and store worship equipment after worship service

  • Evaluate each worship service and communicate feedback and suggestions to worship teams and lead pastor.
