The Water Treatment Fertigation Technician is responsible for the use and maintenance of the fertigation systems, as well as ensuring the consistency and quality of nutrition provided to the crop throughout all stages of growth. Job responsibilities: Handle, mix, and apply nutrient recipes at measured concentrations in accordance to the Head Growers recommendations Operation and maintenance of all fertigation equipment and controls, in addition to recommending any repairs or upgrades Perform and document regular calibration of meters and scales for monitoring and measurement Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems related to fertigation and environmental controls Ensure safe handling, use, storage, and disposal of chemicals Collect and analyze water, feed, and runoff samples to determine if an adjustment to the nutrient schedule is needed Maintain inventory of nutrients and filter media used in fertigation Communicate effectively with the cultivation team and other departments to ensure a smooth production process Supervise others performing fertigation tasks and activities Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area and facility at all times, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure Follow all SOPs related to daily work activities to maintain compliance with regulations Complete all documentation to meet the company standards requirements Ensure compliance with our client’s policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Requirements High School diplomapreferred AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate is considered an asset Safety certifications (CPR, first aid, etc…) considered an asset Experience in water treatment, fertigation, agricultural/greenhouse production, or a related field is considered an asset Industrial automation experience and/or knowledge of computer controls considered a strong asset Experience working in an industrial facility is consideredan asset Ability to operate and maintain fertigation systems is considered an asset Basic knowledge of computer applications Manual dexterity / ability to preform physical work such as standing and walking If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with an updated resume in MS Word Format.
