Warehouse – Receiving Supervisor (Full Rolls)

Are you looking for a hands-on/physical supervisory role?

Function:

Oversee all functions of the receiving department to ensure the timely and accurate receiving and safe storage of all incoming products, as well as the Full Roll department to ensure outgoing shipments are to Ennis standards and hitting cut off daily

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

General

• Lead and motivate all staff
• Notify and train staff on company procedures
• Being pro-active by seeking out better ways to increase productivity and reduce errors
• Responsible for cleanliness, organization and safety of All department
• Responsible for maintaining all equipment
• Involved in all meetings with employees to discuss problems and concerns
• Interacts professionally with all departments and branches
• Inventory control- Involved in the cycle count procedure including the investigation of overages and shortages
• Involved in the recruitment and progressive discipline of employees
• Know all positions of the daily operations/ available to cover absenteeism

Receiving

• Responsible for the inspection of goods making sure there are no damages, shortages etc. before signing off on delivery (Record any discrepancies on the waybill.)
• Must make sure all packing slips and waybills pertaining to each shipment are accurate.
• Responsible to following up to ensure the appropriate people are notified of any issues
• Responsible to ensure all goods are received and input in a timely manner without error as per our 48 hour SLA
• Backup other positions where necessary, be it physically receiving or data entry of receiving’s
• Responsible for the scheduling of incoming containers and LTL shipments (ASN’s)
• Make sure the receiving is made against the proper purchase order
• Running of reports and inventory tags, making sure they are then forwarded to the proper individual for further processing
• When satisfied receiving is correct, transfer to (ready to cost) status
• Liaison with Purchasing and Costing Department
• Responsible for dealing with carriers to rectifying any Receiving problems

Full Roll Department

• Responsible for making sure all goods are labeled and packaged to Ennis fabrics standards
• Responsible for keeping the flow moving by assigning resources where needed to ensure the department hits the daily cut off.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years warehousing and distribution experience
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment, fast paced, able to lift 70 LBS
