Oversee all aspects of Retail warehouse operations: Receiving, pricing, product placement, picking and deliveries.This position beginsFebruary and continues with full time hours until December.This position pays $18.50 per hour.Oversee all aspects of Retail warehouse operations: Receiving, pricing, product placement, picking and deliveriesStaff training on job functions: safety procedures and company policesProvide associates with necessary information and tools to effectively do their jobCoordinate and schedule the activities of the warehouse team in all aspects of distribution, receiving and inventory managementReview requisitioned items from warehouse prepared by the product teamMove throughout entire area of responsibility to maintain awareness of total operationLead weekly, monthly and yearly inventories by counting and completing necessary paperworkEffectively problem solve, recommending measures to improve staff productivity and staff evaluationsEnsure accurate procedures are followed on all product counts, receiving documents and physical inventoryDocument/maintain records in inventory system and labour/expense budgetsDaily reconciliation of accounting between Accounts Payable and Warehouse Receiving paperworkOrganize, prioritize and schedule orders to ensure all deliveries are made in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure adequate staffing levels and schedule labour within budgetCommunicate with Merchandise Buyers with any concerns or issues related to ordersEnsure all warehouse vehicles remain clean and free of debrisPerforms duties of subordinates as required and all jobs in a safe mannerAny other duties as outlined by the Department Manager or full time teamMinimum 2-4 years related work experience in a warehouse environment and working with heavy equipment is an asset as well as, a proven ability to supervise a team of 10+ associateAble to work full time hours throughout the yearAble to work flexible hours including early shifts (starting at 7:00am) and late shifts (ending at 9pm) as well as, working on weekends and holidaysDemonstrates excellent communication skills, ability to make decisions independently and perform basic math functions A valid Ontario Driver’s license (G) is required. If hired, must provide an driver’s abstract (if applicable) and position is contingent upon a passing abstractMust have reliable transportation outside public transit and able to work in all weather conditionsProven track record as a team builder and confidence to manage rapidly changing priorities and drive changeQualified work boots are requiredAble to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform basic computer skills in MS Word and ExcelAbility to lead associatesAble to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
