THE ROLE

If you are a proven leader and committed to take ownership of the sales and business development efforts for a fast-growing technology company, this VP level is for you!

Each day will be different, yet be ready to generate, cultivate and close key relationships from start to finish, lead the sales and marketing teams, and work closely with leadership to set the path of the business.  The VP, Global Sales and Business Development role will report directly to the CEO and President and you will have full support from the engineering and operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play a leading role in developing and implementing the Company’s sales strategy in collaboration with executive management;
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis and proactively develop new business opportunities in evolving sectors;
  • Communicate the value proposition of the Company’s technology to varied audiences in multiple sectors, including food and cannabis industries;
  • Responsible for overseeing the management and upkeep of the Company’s customer relationship management database on Sales Force; Able to pull useful reports to present to executive management;
  • Actively develop and manage licensed partner relationships, which may range from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups;
  • Proactively seek out new prospective licensees/customers for the Company’s products, coordinate sales presentations with qualified prospects and collaborate cross-departmentally to coordinate key information to attract new machine orders;
  • Manage the development and updating of promotional materials and support marketing efforts, such as international tradeshow attendance, webinar production and/or marketing collateral refinement;
  • Negotiate agreements with prospective licensed royalty partners and toll manufacturing clients;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base regarding the Company’s patented technology;
  • Domestic and international travel of 80+ days per year will be required post COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Lead the sales function and inspire colleagues to exceed performance expectations; and,
  • Support the executive management to achieve budgeted financial KPIs and the execution of the Company’s strategic plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.Commerce or B.Business Administration degree. MBA or CFA a bonus.
  • Min. 5+ years work experience in sales, finance and / or marketing roles.
  • B.C. Driver’s License and valid Passport (travelling will be required post Covid)
