We need your help to expand the ability to deliver prompt and professional service.As of May 15, 2020 in order to mitigate the risk of the transmission of Covid 19 among persons in our care, patients, residents and also staff in our long term care facilities, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long term care facilities. While this order is in place staff will be limited to employment in only one (1) long term care facility. This vacancy is located at a long term care facility and will be pursuant to this order. Your specific duties will include: •Perform related clerical duties such as data entry, filing, compiling, preparing and maintaining statistics including related reports. •You will schedule, book and coordinate patient appointments. •Acts as a communication link for the assigned area by contacting other facilities and department. •Prioritizes, processes, coordinates and transcribes physicians’ orders. •Maintains timekeeping records for regular and casual staff and submits/enters to payroll system as required. We are looking for a committed and personal person with an eye for detail. You are able to juggle numerous tasks in a busy environment and conduct business in a professional manner. You like helping people and you display excellent communication skills.You will take a thorough, hands-on approach to deliver high quality and precise work. A focused approach is needed to complete routine day to day tasks and handle changing calendars, priorities, and timelines. You will carry a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. Qualifications: •Graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program •Knowledge of medical terminology •One (1) year recent, related experience •Ability to type 40 WPM An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
