Le bureau de Thales à Ottawa est depuis longtemps un fournisseur majeur et un partenaire de confiance du MDN, permettant aux Forces armées canadiennes et à la Garde côtière canadienne d’accomplir leurs missions avec succès.Job :The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing & maintaining various networks in the integration and lab support role to meet the requirements of projects and other associated stakeholders.As software integration supportSoftware development environment system administrationClarify requirements with various stakeholders and recommend solutions, improvements about architecture implementation and design of the environments.Implement methodologies to integrate various software components including commercial software to produce a stable baseline upon which, all other software can be placed for repeatable testing.Implementation and execution of system and performance test casesAdvise Integration/lab support team lead on system level issues impacting the system and work on resolutionEnsure the integration/lab support team leads, development leads are made aware of all issues, risks and concerns in a timely mannerLabs inventory managementSupport developer requests regarding the engineering environment and any R& D projects as applicablePrepare standard operating procedures and provide training to IT operationsAs network / System support specialistDesigning, implementing and managing Active Directory environmentsMonitoring and controlling network security and integrity within guidelines to ensure complianceManaging data storage, disaster recovery,Managing access levels in switches and routersEnsure adequate antivirus protection is maintainedIdentify and recommend improvements regarding Compute / Storage and Network resource.Produce supporting documentation as required such as network design, installation support document, etc.As applicable, analyse, investigate, document and report on information security issuesMajor challenges include working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with requirements that are not fully specified due to the nature of the work. Therefore, the successful candidate must have outstanding communication skills, with a desire to represent the team in front of the stakeholders and carry through negotiations between a myriad of differing stakeholders.Required Skills and Experience:All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet Controlled Goods Clearance requirements and Canadian security Clearance.Possess college or university degree/diploma in an Information Systems from a recognized college/universityAt least 5 years’ experience in similar roleSpecific ExperienceOperating systems: Latest Windows and Linux Server/client platforms; Hardware/Networking: Create and manage edge network security policies (Palo Alto/Cisco) Manage ASA, for VPN Platform Implement and manage network access control platform.Good knowledge of various cloud technologies (Azure preferable)Software: Active directory, MS Office Suites, SharePoint 2019, Group policy, VM Ware, ESXI, TCP/IP, DNS, Wireshark, SQL.Experience as Windows server admin, SharePoint system admin, Cloud system adminKnowledge of various programming language is an assetOtherMinimal travel may be requiredAbility to obtain Canada Secret clearance.
