The Faculty of Nursing is seeking outstanding researchers and educators for tenure-track positions. Specifically, we are looking for doctorally prepared, mid-level career faculty members that can bring expertise to teaching and research. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from academics who are seeking opportunities to develop a strong program of interventional research and enhance their teaching expertise in the following areas:
Aging – seniors care, aging well, dementia care, etc.
Simulation, Teaching, Learning, Curricular studies
Global Health – migrant health, vulnerable populations

We encourage applications from Indigenous scholars, as well as those fluent in French as the Faculty has a French/English bilingual undergraduate program. In addition, we encourage applicants with experience in curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:
Academic Faculty members are scholars active in teaching, research, and service. Incumbents are developing or have established programs of research, supervise graduate students, teach in both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs, and contribute to Faculty, University, and community service.

Teaching (standard allocation of time is 40%)
Participates in undergraduate and graduate teaching programs, including classroom teaching, supervision of graduate students and personal interactions with and advising students.
Research (standard allocation of time is 40%)
Participates in research, including both original research and reflective inquiry, and the dissemination of results of research by means appropriate to the discipline.
Service (standard allocation of time is 20%)
Provides service to the discipline of Nursing; participates in the governance of the University, and the Faculty; and disseminates knowledge to the general public by making available their expertise and knowledge of the discipline.

As a qualified applicant, you hold a PhD, have an emerging research focus and can demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence.
PhD in Nursing (or a related discipline).
Current registration or eligibility for registration as a nurse with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
Evidence of an emerging research focus and demonstrated potential for success in peer-reviewed grant applications.
Committed to teaching excellence and demonstrated aptitude for supervising graduate students.
