Position Summary: The candidate should be able to present, promote and sell machinery and systems manufactured or represented by HX Industrial Control to existing and potential clients in domestic and international localities. Candidates should be able to provide comprehensive technical proposal according to client’s requirement. Candidate should also perform duties related to the evaluation, installation supervision, commission and maintenance of mechanical systems such as automated warehouses, belt conveyors, centrifuges and gearboxes.
Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients
Identify and solicit potential clients
Assess clients' needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms
Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients' needs
Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service
Prepare and administer sales contracts and maintain customer records
Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
Troubleshoot technical problems related to equipment
Develop and maintain technical product or service knowledge to explain features to clients and answer questions about goods or services
Develop, implement and report on marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals
Assess market conditions and competitors' activities and develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends
Technical sales specialists usually specialize in a particular line of goods or services.
Skills & Abilities:
Client Service with technical advising and consulting
Read, interpret and edit blueprints with AutoCAD
Installation and commissioning on equipment such as VFD and PM motor
Education & Experience:
A master's degree or doctorate in a related engineering discipline.
3-5 years Experience with technical sales, equipment repair and maintenance
Familiarity with sugar production, oil and/or gas equipment
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of province and overnight travel may be expected.
Lift and handle medium to heavy weight materials, such as equipment and tools (The work environment may include exposure to dust, noise, and regular exposure to adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain, wind).
Salary: $29.00 per hour plus Commission and Mileage
