Microsoft Azure is a leading Infrastructure as a Service model and a top cloud priority for Tech Data Canada. Are you looking to add Microsoft and Tech Data to your resume? If so, we are looking for a competitive business development manager (BDM) to develop sales strategies and attract new clients among the Canadian Microsoft Azure market. The successful BDM will source exciting and new sales opportunities, grow existing metrics, and close sales to achieve quotas. The BDM will also have ownership on key strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing value ad and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of solutions and services. As a BDM, you will be given the sense of running your own business with the support of the leading IT Distributor in the world behind you. This position represents a great opportunity to deliver Tech Data-s unique capabilities in delivery an IT giant like Microsoft. “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (attend event, presentations, existing accounts, follow-up on lead, some cold calling).Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness.Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships.Meet personal and team sales targets.Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads.Attend meeting, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments.Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data.Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory. Proven sales experience 3+ years in industry or 5+ years outside of industryTrack record of over-achieving quota.Experience working with innovative technologies within the channel.Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.Computer use competency.Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated and driven.University degree or equivalent.
