Provide exceptional customer service and coordination assistance with internal and external project partners (consultants, contractors, etc.).Specific Responsibilities Include:Service Line Accountabilities (Workload Management and Engineering Quality)Regional Accountabilities (Client Relationships and Operational Management)Alongside other leadership members, forecast workload for staffing targets and coordinate workload among staff.Motivate, train and mentor, and service line direct reports according to company policies and guidelines.Provide Technical oversight on single and multi-disciplinary projects.Develop staff Career Paths and provide performance appraisals, with input from the other leadership team members.Share expertise with other offices, maintain technical capability and provide technical expertise on projects.Lead proposals for the local opportunities, and assist with multidisciplinary proposal preparation as required.Work with others to increase the overall technical capability of the service line.Act as senior client contact for key clientsAct as a Engineer of Record for designs and reports and that of engineers in training for whom you are providing peer review as appropriate.Adhere to the company and client safety policies and practices in effect at any given time.Stay current with changes in various codes and standards.Establish basic operating standards and accomplish objectives in the most economical manner to manage unusual conditions.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate teammates, this includes reviewing reports and design documents, including drawings and specifications, ensuring technical standards are met.Work as the Project Manager, Relationship Manager or Technical Specialist to provide our clients with finished projects in a timely manner.Participate in various professional associations such as ASHRAE, ASPE, etc. Analyze existing data to forecast business choices regarding budget forecasting, budget variances, client profitability, risk management and report findings to the leadership team as appropriate.Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Relationship Managers and Directors to secure large projects.Understand and participate in resolving issues with cost control, non-recoverable expenditures, and utilization.Identify completed projects in your service line that are eligible for technical awards, ensure projects are submitted.Employees are required to adhere to the company and client safety policies and practices in effect at any given time. Perpetuate, clarify and embody WEC purpose, culture and values.Adhere to the company quality management program.Provide presentations at technical conferences.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology.P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation.10+ years experience under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.Valid class 5 driver’s license. Excellent interpersonal skills; a person who listens well, respects diversity of opinions and has an open, clear and succinct communication style.Effective organizational and project management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and maintaining scope of work, schedule and budget.The ability to recognize and accurately define problems and solutions by collecting data and establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.Ability to represent the company to the staff, clients and community by ensuring the best image is presented.Application knowledge of various programs (including Deltek Vision, MS Project, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, HVAC Solution, etc.).
