The home office for this role can be located in any one of our 5 offices across Southwestern Ontario. Remote work arrangements may also be available. 

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Grow and cultivate an already flourishing and vibrant Canadian tax practice
  • Lead, manage, coach and empower a tax team of 5-8 full time individuals ranging from Analyst to Senior Manager
  • Identify and resolve complex domestic tax issues
  • Lead domestic restructuring / corporate reorganization engagements
  • Identify and communicate trends and developments in Canadian tax, which are relevant to client base
  • Manage tax activities in connection with non-tax (i.e. accounting / audit) files
  • A successful candidate will have:

  • A Canadian CA / CPA designation
  • Completed the CPA In-depth Tax Course
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a tax specialty role focused on Canadian tax
  • International (primarily inbound) tax experience an asset but not required
  • Proven track record of business development and relationship building skills
  • A passion for client service and being a team player
  • A desire to accept new challenges and be held accountable to results
  • The ability to succeed under pressure
  • Strong mentoring and communication skills
  • A positive attitude
  • Experience with MS office / Office 365, Caseware, Tax Prep and tax research software
