What is the opportunity?The Digital Investing Platform Support team is part of the greater RBC Digital ecosystem. The team has a broad mandate to support, provide custodianship and manage all changes, compliance and risk of the bank’s secured digital products like online banking, online Investing, online InvestEase, online rewards, and associated mobile apps. As RBC’s Personal and Commercial clients increasingly interact with the bank digitally there is a growing need for support and security of new capabilities being introduced.Joining the Digital Investing Platform Support team as a senior technical system analyst, you will have the opportunity to partner with a multitude of IT and Business stakeholders to research, assess, analyze and troubleshoot technical and system problems in order to continue service and maintain user experience on the Digital website. You will also assume end-to-end technical monitoring of web services, batch and participate in lab environment troubleshooting and also provide support during production deployment activities. This position provides the day to day, on call Priority 1 and Priority 2 incident support for the digital investing platform. It involves primary end to end support for all high severity production incidents, daily batch flow, co-ordinate and engage with TI Infrastructure partners of ”root cause” problem resolution.What will you do?Coordination of application implementations in all host systems e.g. (Windows, Linux, PCF and Azure).Troubleshoot the application issues and determine with root cause.Daily batch flow completion and resolve batch issues.Key liaison for the Production Service team.Monitoring the Digital Investing/InvestEase eco system via Dynatrace/Splunk suite of products.Provide daily incident management for all priority one and two production incidents including follow-ups on Problem management.Build pipelines that interface with Enterprise-supported Kubernetes, package repositories, IAM systems, performance monitoring, centralized logging and alerting.Support services prior to go-live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, planning, and reviews.Monitor health of the current production environment, recommending enhancements to improve performance and initiate planning for capacity upgrades.Engage in technical consultation with external vendors and TI Partners.Ensure quality of service and all ServiceNow tickets and changes are fulfilled and all Endeavor Libraries are in synch.Available for 24/7 support.What do you need to succeed?Must-have:Knowledge of various infrastructure components (Load Balancing, Firewall, certificate and Web Hosting) and system administration knowledge on Windows/Linux or UNIX.Coding experience in ASP.NET and SQL server (any versions).Building applications and/or systems using Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. (Microsoft Azure preferred).With the operational aspects of software systems such as monitoring, centralized logging and alerting with relevant tools (examples include Splunk, Dynatrace).Knowledge of application interdependencies and general sense on how various interfaces integrate.Available for On call support, rotation basisIntermediate SQL skills in terms of query and troubleshooting logs.Must be a team player, works well under pressure and takes initiative. Nice to Have:A passion for developing efficiency through automation – DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code concepts are key.PCF administration/script writing (e.g.: PowerShell/Linux).Working with orchestration and configuration management systems such as Jenkins, Ansible, UCD/UCR and Infrastructure as Code systems such as Cloud. Ability to multitask in a fast paced 7/24 environment.
