General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada has a new opportunity seeking for a Junior to Intermediate engineer within our Mobile Domain System Engineering Team in our Land & Joint division.Adopted to an Agile framework and within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, including collaborating with other system engineers, supporting product development teams and system integration teams and external subcontractors – this role entails working on the design of new system capabilities requested by the customer and ensure proper design is captured and documented while taking part in Scrum events and Sprint reviews.We are looking for a System Engineer with a keen interest in emerging technologies and information management. This role would be responsible to provide system and product level design for the Mobile Domain within Land Command Support System (LCSS). You would be responsible to manage System Problem Reports (SPR) by providing proper upfront analysis and input to support bug fixes as well ensure proper close out of each SPR. Liaising with the Director Land Command Systems Program Management (DLCSPM) personnel, you will ensure to have a coordinated approach to the production, review and delivery of engineering artifacts in particular with designated technical OPIs. This includes managing and document system and subsystem design requirements adhere to their specifications, document interface control, and use cases. Other duties would include supporting internal and DLCSPM/IPT (Integrated Project Team) meetings on an as-needed basis.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related technical/scientific degree.Proven experience in System engineering/business analyst capacity or system integration experience would be preferred.Strong working knowledge or familiarity with Enterprise Architect or other UML/SysML modeling tools preferred.Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.Ideally you will have experience inIn progress of or have obtained Professional Engineering designation statusSW development experienceExperience in the development of Land Tactical SystemsFamiliarity with Canadian Land Forces Doctrine and Operational scenarios.Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
