The successful candidate will contribute to decisions for testing and analysis of products serving the machine vision sector. They will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support products moving from research stages into a production ready state. They will conduct investigations for product issues and report on the findings using data analysis tools. They will have a demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced development environment. As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne DALSA is recruiting for the following opening.Primary ResponsibilitiesYou will work with Design Engineering, New Product Introductionand the Manufacturing teams to ensure that product designs are stable and can be seamlessly transitionedto manufacturing.You will support procurement, quality and manufacturing, resolving technical issues that are impacting deliverables and/or product quality and reliability.You must have the ability to complete detailed data analysis and clearly identify/define the problems as they arise.You must have the ability to quickly understand circuit functionality and design intentto determine potential issues.You will have a thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits andthe ability to modify designs to address issues.You will use proven problem solving methods to complete failure analysis investigations to determine the root cause of product and processfailures.You will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and thorough technical documentation.You will be responsible for managing and progressing,multiple activities with changing priorities.You will support continual improvement for existing product testing.Communicate well with customers and suppliers The following are requirements for this position:Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering or equivalent from an accredited UniversityStrong written and verbal technical communication skills Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlinesAble to analyze data and statisticsKnowledge and experience with laboratory test equipmentand data analysis toolsAbove average organisation skillsCreative problem solver with attention to detailsThe following experience/knowledge are assets:Experience in the area of image sensors and/or digital cameras/imaging systems.Experience working in an engineering role within a fast paced production environment.Experience in both product development anddesign for manufacturability.Knowledge of Kepner-Tregoe or other formal problem solving methods.Experience in LabVIEW and Matlab programming environments.
