Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.This position term will begin in May, 2020 for approximately 4 to 8 months.The successful candidate will report to the Interim Chief Legal Officer.What you will do: Assist the legal department with matters as needed, including legal research and writing, and document preparation in a wide variety of legal areas, including corporate law, corporate governance law, labour and employment, securities law, corporate compliance and ethics, pension and benefits, administrative and contract lawAssist with or conduct confidential internal investigationsAssist with internal policy preparation, review and revisionAssist with preparation, development and deployment of employee training on legal and/or compliance and ethics matters, including in-person/live training and/or online trainingAssist counsel with advising clients as neededComply with all company policies, procedures and guidelinesWhat you will bring: Currently enrolled in a university or college law program, working toward a Juris Doctor designationMinimum GPA of 3.0 is preferredCompetence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Outlook)Excellent legal research and writing skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced, busy legal environmentMust maintain a cooperative working relationship with the members of the Legal Department as well as the business units served by the Legal DepartmentMust possess the highest level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalismFamiliarity with administrative law rules regarding procedural fairness in internal investigations is a preferenceAre you a good match?
