About this opportunity:

The Tax Analyst will support the Corporate Taxation group in tax compliance, provision, forecasting, audit defense and administration matters.

Preferred Skills:

+ Strong communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal

+ Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Suite)

+ Attention to detail

+ Strong knowledge of accounting and finance

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Self-motivation to work on own initiative and meet deadlines

+ Ability to work well individually or in a team environment

+ High degree of organization

+ Knowledge in Canadian Corporate Tax would be a plus but not mandatory

+ Exposure to Corporate Tax Software would be a plus but not mandatory


This position will perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

+ Maintain and assist in gathering information for IFRS tax provisions and forecasts of global sites

+ Assist in gathering information to support tax and/or information returns,

+ Assist in maintaining task management and tax data gathering tools

+ Assist in preparing schedules and calculations to support tax information

+ Assist in responding to queries from internal/external auditors

+ File documents in accordance with established procedures

+ Assist in timely payment of tax related invoices

+ Arrange internal meetings

Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

+ Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.

+ Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data

+ Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

+ Basic manufacturing system knowledge

Experience: No formal experience is required.

Education: Currently enrolled in a University Internship program. Enrolment in Accounting (Finance) Program.
