In partnership with the Business Product team and our partners across the organization, the Strategy and Enablement team leverages industry best practices, collaboration, and thought leadership to drives the development and execution of the multi-year planning, integrated services roadmap and transformational initiatives. Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together As a Strategy manager, you will be leading both proactive market scan to build a pipeline of potential target businesses aligned to strategy, work jointly with Corporate Development team to lead the strategic assessment of potential acquisitions and working through the diligence process and ensure acquisitions will be meeting business case target. Here’s how Eyes on the customer and on evolving market trends . Constantly monitor and analyze key product business needs, corporate actions and competitive activity and provide insights on potential company to accelerate our growth. Accelerate product roadmap implementation . Working in partnership with our Corporate Development team, assist in the strategic development, financial assessment and due diligence of a potential ventures/acquisition, and the preparation of presentations of findings and analysis to senior leadership. Financial analysis . Working with the Senior Strategy manager, support the development of intelligent and reliable financial projections, analysis based on valuation of inorganic growth opportunities and/or record of comparable transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures and other initiatives. Tactical analysis . In our fast changing business, you will be required to deep dive into a new area, learn its complexities, present your analysis and insight to the leadership team and execute on plan – all within tight timelines. You”re the missing piece of the puzzle A curious and tenacious nature . You are a self-starter motivated by learning something new every day but also not afraid to call out what does not add up or question status quo. Ability to present complex concepts to senior leaders . You are able to look at a problem from 20,000 feet and see its macro impact and at the same time be able to dig into a large pile of data to develop your understanding at a micro level. Outstanding communication and collaboration . The team is constantly in conversation with key stakeholders and leaders in the organization, you are expected to have strong presentation skills, confidence in your analysis and open minded approach to influence decision making. Ability to generate insights and recommendations . Knowledge of and experience with financial statements (ratio analysis, performance return measures) and understanding of financial valuation methodologies (discounted cash flow, payback period, comparable company analysis). Eagerness to understand market events and share analysis . Educate the team of transactions and corporate actions that are constantly changing the competitive environment and impact the markets we serve. Great-to-haves University degree 3-5 years of equivalent experience in B2B marketing and/or strategy roles Broad knowledge of IT and telecommunication industry Demonstrate very strong knowledge of business analytics Consulting skills and reporting/presentation Influence and negotiation skills Project Management skills Who is TELUS?
