MTS Silicon Correlation Engineer – 83921 Temporary – Seasonal Opportunity THE ROLE: We are a cutting-edge systems engineering team focused on DGPU products that deliver performance leadership and superior power efficiency. The team is passionate about power and performance with primary responsibilities in emulation, post-silicon bring-up, feature and workload optimization and characterization, debug and product optimization. The successful candidate will drive, execute and debug post-silicon activities related to speed characterization and verification of silicon, including developing and improving methodologies and tools to evaluate the silicon. THE PERSON: You are passionate about technology, continuously seeking to grow, a self-starter, and relentlessly determined with a high sense of accountability. You have strong analytical, critical thinking and superior communication skills. You lead teams and drive issues to resolution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead speed characterization, analysis and verification for AMD’s graphics products. Develop, plan and execute post-silicon characterization test plans, methodologies and tools Debug and troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues that may occur in test environments Work closely with supporting teams in design, diagnostics, BIOS, driver, system engineering, and platform team to ensure readiness of silicon feature for validation purpose Lead interdisciplinary teams in silicon design, board design engineering, product engineering to understand and debug silicon-level critical speed paths Proactively drive continuous improvement for post-silicon activities PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong technical background in PC systems and graphics Strong leadership, critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills are mandatory Specific knowledge of computer architecture and workload analysis Good understanding of computer organization/architecture Deep understanding of digital electronics Extensive laboratory experience, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. Strong problem solving, organizational and planning skills with a pronounced attention to detail Highly motivated, innovative individual with a keen interest in finding and resolving silicon/platform issues Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a dynamic team environment Must be a self-starter and be able to independently drive tasks to completion Operating systems – install, setup, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows and Linux C, C++ or scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) are assets ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering Minimum 5 years of work experience LOCATION: Markham, ON, Canada #LI-LB1 Requisition Number: 83921 Country: Canada State: Ontario City: Markham Job Function:Design AMD is an inclusive employer dedicated to building a diverse workforce.
