It’s with one of our prestigious Private Equity firm clients that have over a BILLION dollars in assets under management and are looking for a Architectural and planning coordinator to help spearhead their NEW multi-residential development division. You will not only be driving multiple projects through the land approval process, but you will also be a key player in their growth. This is the perfect opportunity for someone to not only make a name for themselves but to rub shoulders with very high net worth individuals and get exposure to the funding and capital structures side of the business. What you can expect to be doing: Research prospective land acquisitions Carry out due diligence on land acquisitions including market feasibility, identifying servicing issues, and coordinate geo-technical and environmental evaluations Be directly involved in the development of master-planned communities through providing input on the layout of the community, housing products types, target markets and condo registration. Manage the submission of projects through a variety of approval processes from raw land to serviced titled lots. Applications include statutory plan approvals, zonings, and approvals and working with consultants on engineering and servicing agreements for plan areas and for condos. Liaise with approving authorities on requirements for each stage of planning. Liaise with customers on project requirements and product needs. Provide technical support for builder customer on subdivision and servicing issues. Participate in Public Meetings for development approval applications Work with the accounting team on budgeting and financing for projects and stages of projects Create and maintain project budgets, schedules, and reports Along with the VP, Construction, source contractors pricing for the work and make recommendations to award work to contractors and consultants. Provide project and status updates to the Executive Team. Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze input assumptions in preparing pro forma models; Work closely with the Construction Manager through the design and construction process Stay current on the housing market including understanding what competitors are doing Requirements What you bring to the table: You aren’t afraid of a challenge and an ever-changing entrepreneurial environment. You have taken at least 2 condo projects through the approvals process through to condo registration.
