Description: Show Operations: – Operate sound and/or other equipment such as video, confetti, and other effects for all rehearsals, presentations and shows. Meet with Cruise Director, Entertainment Technical Manager, Guest Entertainers, Company Manager, and Music Director to determine the needs of each show, as well as the set-up for that show, including set up and strike down. Operate the main lounge audio system including PA, monitors, amplification and instrument/vocal reinforcement. – Advise, assist, and coordinate any additional audio needs, equipment or staffing required for parties, meetings, rehearsals, activities, shows, charters and any other special groups or events. – Provide knowledge and assistance to staff working in other venues in other audio installations across the ship, and technical support for all Entertainment activities and programs. – Assist in the assembly and strike of production scenery as instructed by the Entertainment Technical Manager. – Ensure that the “life” of the mix is foremost, and that qualitative decisions based are on the needs of the performance to the best of your professional judgment. Requirements: Required Skills Maintenance: – Maintain all Entertainment Department sound equipment ship wide, and maintains audio system as outlined in the system operator’s manual. – Make repairs to equipment when possible. – Co-ordinate with onboard Engineering staff and ETM to facilitate repair of broken equipment and maintenance of Entertainment Department systems. Maintain inventory of spare parts and microphones as well as all other audio equipment. – Follow up on status of work orders and repairs. Administration: – Prepare reports as directed by the ETM, Entertainment Technical Supervisors, Production Managers, and Manager- Entertainment Technical. – Maintain an inventory of all automated equipment used. – Ensure items sent off for repair are subtracted from inventory, and items returned will be officially added back. – Ensure items removed from service are removed from inventory.
