As such, we have created new roles to oversee all regional sorting activities to achieve our financial key performance indicators (KPIs). Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will also focus on delivery centers throughput and evaluate equipment and workforce needed to achieve and maintain productivity targets. What is a typical work day? Oversee sorting activities for the region by tracking, improving and maintaining the Parcel Per Labour Hour and costs targets. Understand the individual station requirements and physical set ups to execute a tailored plan to achieve KPIs as a result of efficient and productive sorts for both envelopes and boxes. Look for automation opportunities and participate in the implementation. Review regional results on a daily basis to ensure station efficiency and quality. Evaluate workforce requirements to ensure that team composition is optimized during peak seasons. Work with Operational excellence and Human Ressources teams to create an onboarding and training process and program for new lead hands and supervisors. Ensure all current Supervisors receive are fully trained and understand all metrics required to achieve results. Provide feedback and training requirements to develop our Supervisors talent pool and identify subject matter experts. Ensure the use of safe work methods and behaviors within the delivery centers. What does it take to be successful? 5+ years experience at a manager level in a fast-paced environment, ideally in the small package delivery industry directly managing a team. Proven ability to direct a team working in a fast-paced environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a team culture of excellence; Embraces change and has a continuous improvement mindset Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and implement solutions. Proven ability to effectively prioritize work flow to ensure deadlines are met. Able to adapt to shifting priorities. Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, conflict resolution and team building abilities. Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude with a hands-on team-oriented work style.
