Entrepreneurial to our core, our team members are successfully ‘disrupting’ mid-market business practices.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish strong partnerships through collaboration with internal business groups, functional leaders, the National Technology group and key subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure software quality attributes are understoodEnable communication and increased understanding between business and technical teams using architectural diagrams and ubiquitous languageIdentify implementation risks and analysis of potential impact on the firm and on the achievement of solution objectivesProvide consulting and expert advice regarding the strategic direction and implementation of architectural standards, principles and best practicesAccountable for the overall viability and integrity of a solutionWork collaboratively with the software development team to design architecture for cloud, on-premise and hybrid systemsCreate and maintain architectural diagrams that accurately reflect the required software quality attributes and satisfy business requirementsDemonstrate the viability of architectural decisions by creating proofs of concept using the appropriate technology stackAssist with project management work breakdown and sprint planning by expressing solution architecture in Azure DevOps using User Stories and TasksFacilitate demos and discussions with the technical team and stakeholdersConduct code-reviews to ensure developer implementations are aligned with the solution architecture and architectural principals and standardsProvide technical mentorship and guidance to development team throughout the solution implementationKeep abreast of technical, business and market industry trends, internal strategies and directions through publications, research papers, personal networks and vendorsDrive technical discussion with 3rd party vendors during the vendor viability assessment phaseYour Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering requiredFive (5) or more years of technical leadership and architecture experience in enterprise software development as a software architectFive (5) or more years of development experience using the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Framework, .NET/ASP.NET Core and MS SQLThree (3) or more years of experience architecting solutions using cloud componentsMicrosoft Azure experience considered an assetAdvanced knowledge, experience and understanding of architecture, application development, application systems design and integrationExperience creating architectural diagrams using UML, c4 model and other similar languages or modelsExtensive comprehension and hands-on experience with architectural frameworks, design patterns and development methodologies such as Microservices, SOA, CQRS, Message Brokers and Domain Driven DesignExperience designing solutions using an agile approach allowing delivery over multiple iterationsHands-on experience re-architecting and modernizing legacy systemsFamiliarity and understanding of the corresponding impact on IT infrastructure fundamentals (i.e., network technologies/protocols, security, cloud, servers, virtualization, storage, application virtualization, scripting, IT automation)Demonstrated passion for innovation, continuous improvement, growth and change managementMore than a paycheque, MNP delivers.
