We are searching for an experienced software pipeline developer to join Autodesks Shotgun. Shotgun is an Academy Award-winning software used by major film, TV, and game studios worldwide. The person we are looking for loves and has a history of translating production workflows into intuitive, effective, and elegant tools and APIs. You are a technical communicator who enjoys and values conversations with your end-users, knowing how important such conversations are in supporting their success. You are able to advise clients on well designed, supportable production systems. Your background may be in computer science, but more important is that you have experience working with studio pipelines and have provided technical guidance to artists and production staff through multiple projects. Ideally, you have experience building user interfaces, APIs, and have used Shotgun and RV in production. Responsibilities Act in an advisory capacity to clients, helping them configure Shotguns media review tools to meet their pipeline needs Work closely with the support team to resolve client issues and promote client satisfaction Track and escalate client issues that require the attention of engineering Work with our product team to prioritize client and support related issues Educate and train clients on the latest product features to maximize their investment Drive growth and engagement in our community, through active participation in our forums and at industry events Develop code samples and write documentation that demonstrates the flexibility of our APIs Minimum Qualifications Experience supporting production pipelines A foundational understanding of color pipelines Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Self-motivated and able to self-manage Post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience English-language proficiency at CEFR C1 level or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Experience integrating with media review and editorial packages such as RV, VLC, Nuke, Adobe Premier Pro, or Avid Advanced knowledge of Python and C Working knowledge of web applications and services Experience using Shotgun and RV in production Experience working on a distributed team Experience developing for Windows, Linux, and OS X Able to accommodate occasional domestic and/or international travel
