Responsibilities

The Shunt Truck Driver is responsible for performing safe and efficient moves of containers or chassis between different locations within the terminal in order to contribute to optimal operations.

Duties include

  • Drive a shunt truck for pin to pin moves for chassis or chassis with containers, transferring freight between terminal locations in order to contribute to the smooth operation;
  • Back trailers into designated areas as requested;
  • Perform circle checks to make sure trailers are fit to move on highway;
  • Perform and document daily pre-trip inspections of the shunt truck;
  • Perform other tasks contributing to the smooth operation of the facility;
  • Submit or receive information to or from the Supervisor using the proper communication equipment.

Specific Requirements

· Safety Oriented

· Valid driver's license (AZ preferred but not required) and clean driving record (required);

· Positive and client oriented attitude;

· Availability for night/evening shifts and weekends.

· Available for 40 hours a week. We are only hiring Full Time positions.
