Job Description

 The Shipper and Receiver will report into designated management as required and will ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are timely processed in conjunction with Supply Chain team, QA and Security. The successful candidate is expected to understand various aspects of manufacturing operations, adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, and ensure quality of shipping standards according to Health Canada Cannabis regulation guidelines and production facility standards.

Ø  Ensure that orders, both incoming and outgoing, meet all quality standards by following all safety protocols; Perform Quality Control activities for incoming and outgoing shipments;

Ø  Receive packaged products from Production departments; prepare pallets for shipment;

Ø  Pack and label outbound goods verify quantities and conduct visual inspection. Prioritize delivery of shipments; Load and unload packages from trucks, sort and stage products;

Ø  Count and sort incoming packages to verify receipt against courier bills and suppliers’ packing slips; conduct visual inspection for defect and damage;

Ø  Unload and inspect incoming shipments and ensure shipment accuracy according to waybills; Report any discrepancies or damages as identified;

Ø  Tag and label incoming inventory and shipments with identifying information; place incoming products and materials in stock and record location of inventory;

Ø  Generate shipping labels and variable data labels;

Ø  Adhere to shipping and receiving Standard Operating Procedure (S.O.P.), safety, and regulatory compliance procedures; ensure that PPE is used during material handling, loading and unloading, packaging and un-packaging products, both incoming and outgoing;

Ø  Operate forklift truck and other handling equipment to transport received materials to various locations in the plant;

Ø  Perform activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, labelling, packing and unpacking of products and materials;

Ø  Transport packages and products throughout production facility; will operate, navigate, or drive mechanized equipment;

Ø  Inspect equipment, structures, and packages to identify problems or defects; Perform maintenance on operating equipment, tools and machinery where required and report non-conformities and errors to management;

Ø  Ensure fulfillment teams comply with Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and any Standard Operating Procedures set forth; and

Ø  Assist Fulfillment Manager with other tasks and supervisory duties as required.



Ø  Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to travel between Lower Mainland production locations;

Ø  High school diploma or equivalent;

Ø  Forklift Certification;

Ø  Solid understanding of time management and efficiency methods;

Ø  Strong attention to detail, and exceptional organizational and time-management skills;

Ø  Developed leadership and coaching skills;

Ø  Adept communication and teamwork skills; proficiency in English required;

Ø  Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity; strong hand-eye coordination;

Ø  Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.;

Ø  Ability to work with forklift equipment;

Ø  Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a physically demanding capacity;

Ø  Ability to safely handle and transport products and keep a safe and organized workplace;

Ø  Ability to maintain equipment through pre-use inspections and operator repairs;

Ø  Must be willing to work shift work as required; and

Ø  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You Are MECHANICALLY SAVVY with the ability to maintain equipment through pre-use inspections and operator repairs;

You Are DETAIL ORIENTATED, with proficiency in accurate documentation and record keeping.



Ø  Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to travel between Lower Mainland production locations;

Ø  Experienced in inventory tracking forms and systems;

Ø  Experience of industry safety standards;

Ø  Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production environment strongly preferred; and

Ø  Experience of working in a highly regulated environment is considered a strong asset.
