Primary Responsibilities
Use of SAP system to generate shipping documents ( SAP is a MUST)
Preparing required customs documents for export shipments. These documents include Bill of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoice (Proforma), Canada Customs Invoice, Certificate of Origin (NAFTA)
Picking/delivering materials as they are required to assembly and CNC work stations
Complete inventory transactions in excel to maintain inventory accuracy. This includes receiving material and issuing material
Perform cycle counts as requested by the Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory
Call carriers’/freight forwarders to arrange pick-ups for local/global shipments (we use a 3PL called LINK +, for local shipments)
Prepare Fed Ex and UPS shipments
Report discrepancies accurately
Carry out correspondence with various vendors including shipment set ups, delivery instructions and estimated delivery expectations
Ensure work area is clean and safe throughout the shift and at the end of each shift
Ensure self and others work in a safe possible way, reporting injuries, occurrences or near misses to Supervisors
Ensure that all the required personal protective equipment is worn at required times and in the required areas
Undertaking of special duties as required
Use table saw and skill saw to build crates for product packaging
