Job Description Our client, a large oil and gas company, is currently seeking 4 Settlement Analysts for a 3 month contract in Calgary, AB. Settlement Analysts This position is part of the Accounting and Finance organization and supports asphalt and Industrial products business. The position will involve working with Commodity Accounting groups, Trading/Scheduling, Risk, and Marketing. The roles and responsibilities of the Analyst position include but are not limited to:Participate in daily and monthly settlement process including settling volume/price discrepancies the customersAbility to comprehend process automationExecute processes and procedures to comply with monthly financial statement close deadlinesAbility to comprehend process automation and integrationManage AR balances and cash applications for assigned customers Subsequent follow-up and cash applications for assigned customers Perform retro-activity analysis of related estimate to actualsTrack and maintain prepay/early pay activities for assigned customersAble to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesWork cross-functionally with Marketing, Logistics, Corporate Accounting to ensure cashflow metPerform ad-hoc analyses as requested by managementPerform tasks to ensure SOX requirements are met Must have qualificationsMinimum 2-5 years of progressive, related experienceBachelor’s degree in accounting or Business-related degree requiredAnalytic and data analysis skills requiredMust be able to work overtime during key periodsHighly detailed orientedProgressive knowledge of Microsoft Office Nice to have qualificationsSAP experience or Allegro ETRM preferred but not requiredWith over 90 years’ combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world’s leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
