Altruck International Truck Centres is currently seeking third year to fully licensed service technicians. Positions are available at our Cambridge, Kitchener, Guelph, Hamilton, Burlington and Goderich locations.
Shift: Flexible shifts are available.
What we’re looking for:
Third year 310T Apprentice – fully licensed 310T.
Valid G class driver’s license with a good driving record.
Must have necessary hand tools.
Able to work effectively without supervision.
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
What you’ll do:
Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, troubleshooting and general vehicle repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance services and maintenance related work as required.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Oversee the work of any Apprentice Technician assigned to you.
Work in compliance with Company health and safety policies, OHSA and the Highway Traffic Act.
Attend Company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by management.
Other related duties as assigned.

The Technician will stand six to eight- and one-half hours (6-8.5 hours) per shift, lift parts weighing more than 50 pounds several times during each shift, and use hoist and test equipment as needed. They will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. They will use hand and power tools, and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Road testing of vehicles may be required. The technician will be required to wear a company uniform at all times. The Technician is required to maintain a valid driver’s license. If the Technician does not have a valid driver’s license, they must advise their Manager immediately and cease driving vehicles on behalf of the Company.
