 My Intelligent Machines (MIMs) is a fast growing, inclusive and gender-balanced team building a world class AI platform for life scientists. In this role, you will be building relationships with AI and software developers, life scientists, systems biologists, bioinformaticians and business executives. 

The mission of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is simple : to enable MIMs’s accelerated growth, and to act as a trusted advisor to all hiring leaders including MIMs’s cofounders and executives. You will report directly to the COO and you will have the opportunity to build the function, the tools, shape the processes and shape the future.  

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage MIMs’ employer branding initiatives and create awareness throughout the industry to generate leads, unsolicited candidacies & referrals.

  • Identify star individuals in our industry and build and maintain strong relationships with them, so that they turn to you when they are ready to make a move, or that you know whom to call when a need arises.

  • Design effective recruitment strategies for very diversified roles at every level of the organization and ensure exceptional candidate experience at every step.

  • Quickly develop a solid knowledge about the industry associations, groups, conferences, universities, colleges and research institutes that are key to MIMs’s growth as well as making contact with their key people.

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process to make it bullet proof and dangerously efficient.

  • Maintain Recruiting and Hiring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enable MIMs to make data-driven strategic decisions.

  • Build and nurture an ongoing candidate pipeline to support hiring goals. 

  • Consistently understand hiring lead's needs and present possible candidates for future consideration.

  • You love science and technology and have a reputation for filling the toughest roles with the right hires. 

  • You have a high level of energy and a constant sense of urgency in everything you do.


  • A passion for recruiting, sourcing, and for people – of course.

  • Experience working in high growth technical companies. 

  • Experience in developing successful processes for quickly identifying, attracting, and closing high value candidates.

  • Track record of success partnering with technical teams and hiring leads to execute on their hiring plans.

  • Bilingualism French / English is mandatory (verbal and written).

  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, social and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to act independently, while working as part of a team. Lots of Initiative. A self-starter.

  • Start-up experience. 

  • Experience implementing recruitment processes, technology and tools. 

  • Software developer or scientist recruitment expertise. 

  • Agency recruitment experience.
